Lurcher Kizzy came to LSOS early last year. Unfortunately due to her adopters health Kizzy needs to be rehomed. This is a very sad time for her family, and a last resort for them.
Kizzy’s Mum says:
Kizzy is approx 21 months old, she is still very puppy like and everyday looks happy to just be alive.
She’s totally house trained, very obedient, loves children (over 6), loves snuggling up, she’s doesn’t guard, loves playing tug with her doggy brother. She was quite dog reactive at first, but now walks well on the lead although she can still get excited at some dogs, she will stop if asked to calm down. If a dog barks at her she will bark back and needs reassurance that all is ok, then she will ignore and walk away. She does play well with other dogs off lead and loves to play chase. She has good recall but only if there is no other distractions so this needs continued work. Kizzy is crate trained and can be left for 3-4 hours. . She sleeps well at night and isn’t an early riser, typical lazy lurcher.
Kizzy would do well with another steady dog as she tends to copy, she could also be an only dog as long as there was someone around for most of the time.
Kizzy is a pretty girl and does attract a lot of admirers, but please only apply to adopt if your willing to continue with her training to build her confidence when lead walking.
Kizzy is in foster in West Sussex. No cats please.
