ovely Layla is yet another sweet greyhound abandoned by the racing industry. She has a little white tux and a couple of white toes and will be absolutely stunning once in a home and with TLC and lots of good food! Layla is 2 years of age and 25" to the shoulder.

Location: Layla is currently in boarding kennels in Suffolk. Layla would love a foster home while she waits for her forever family. We are very stuck for foster homes right now with a lot of dogs in kennels, sucking up our finances, any help that you can give at all would be hugely appreciated.
Key Points: Friendly, loving, inquisitive, loves everyone! Clean in the home and will ask to go out, good in the car, needs on going lead training but responds to basic training quickly.

~ Personality ~
Layla is a lovely girl who greets everyone like a long lost friend. She loves to please and her main hobby is collecting interesting items and taking them back to her bed for safekeeping! Just a really sweet girl who now needs a family of her own.

~ In the Home ~
Although Layla is currently in kennels she was in a foster home for several weeks, where she had been quick to pick up on basic training and living in a home. She will ask to go out and sleeps through the night with Jack with no problems whatsoever and is always very happy to see you! She can be left for up to 4 hours with no problems with Jack.

~ Other Animals ~
Layla loves Jack and is very good with larger dogs but must be muzzled when out and small dogs avoided if at all possible as she is not small dog safe.

~ Out and About ~
Layla is great in the car and although she does need ongoing lead training she has improved leaps and bounds and soon settles on walks. While in her foster home she was having 3-4 walks a day totalling approximately 1.5 hours and seems content with this. Layla would also benefit from plenty of supervised garden playtime and once bonded with her forever family a chance to stretch her legs off lead a couple of times a week. This would need to be in an enclosed area away from livestock and public roads.

~ Greyhounds as Pets ~
In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

~ Where Can I Live? ~
Layla would suit most family environments due to her sweet happy nature but would need a canine companion. We would love to find a home for her and Jack together but we will separate them if the ideal home comes along. Please note that you will be required to travel to Suffolk to meet and collect her. Please also be aware we do not rehome to families with children under 8 years of age.

~ Where Am I? ~
Layla is currently in boarding kennels in Suffolk. If anyone feels they could foster Blue to help him on his journey to a forever home, please give us a call for an informal chat. It is an extremely rewarding experience and costs are covered by us.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Layla is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed. A home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you would like to offer a new home for Layla, please contact the rescue on 075 000 626 48 and ask for Bronwen or send them an email if available.
