Description

Seth is a beautiful lurcher pup who is 14 months of age and 27” in height, he may still grow a bit more. Seth is an absolutely lovely dog who has been put into a succession of unsuitable homes and never been given the chance to settle down.

Location: Seth is currently in a foster home in Norfolk.
Key Points: Stunning looking with beautiful markings, energetic, playful, cheeky, very bright, obedient and very trainable, good with children but will jump up and can get over excited, asks to go out, becomes easily bored, great in the car, good on the lead but will get over excited if he sees a small furry or if a cat runs past so ongoing lead training is a must. Seth will be able to go off lead in a safe environment once he has formed a proper bond with his new family and has excellent recall.

~ Personality ~
Seth is a an absolutely lovely dog who is incredibly intelligent, very obedient and a joy to train. Seth does however need a family who knows what to expect from a big strong lurcher puppy and is prepared to devote the time and attention he needs to make him the perfect family member. At the moment he is a big bouncy, messy, noisy, lovable bundle of fun who just loves to play! He has been put into a succession of unsuitable homes and now he needs the 5* forever home that he truly deserves so please only apply if you are an experienced dog owner who has previously had lurchers and know what to expect!

~ In the Home ~
Seth is a good boy in the home but will still steal food if he's given the opportunity and needs to have boundaries reinforced by a family who are all on the same page as with any young dog. He is clean and asks to go out and will stick his tongue in your ear to wake you up in the morning which is normally around 6.30am!

~ Other Animals ~
Seth is good with dogs of all sizes and ages but can get over exuberant when playing so you need to watch that he doesn't get carried away

~ Out and About ~
Seth is great in the car and a good boy on the lead although he can get distracted by cats running away or small furries so will benefit from ongoing lead training. He loves his walks and will need LOTS of exercise and is currently having about 3 hours exercise a day including garden play. Once bonded with his new family he will be able to go off lead in a safe area away from livestock and public roads, as his recall is very good and he is a very bright and trainable boy.

~ Where Can I Live? ~
We feel Seth will be best suited to a very active and experienced family who will be totally committed to giving him all the training and support he needs to become the most amazing and loved family member. He would also benefit from someone being home most of the time. Ideally Seth will need a family with teenagers or adults as Seth could easily knock younger children over and can still mouth when he becomes excited. He could live with another calm dog who can show Seth the ropes. He may also suit a family who love doing agility! Please note that you will be required to travel to Norfolk to meet and collect him. Please be aware we do not home to families with children under 8 years of age.

~ Where Am I? ~
Seth is currently in a foster home in Norfolk waiting for his forever home.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Seth is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed. A home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you would like to offer a new home for Seth, please contact the rescue on 075 000 626 48 and ask for Bronwen or send them an email if available.
