Marvin is a bright and lively young Lurcher who will be lots of fun for experienced and dedicated owners, and is located at our Old Windsor centre. Marvin can be worried by busy environments and traffic, so needs to live in a quiet location to help build his confidence. He can appear very confident and playful but this sometimes masks his anxieties, which can be shown by him getting a bit over the top with people and finding it difficult to settle at home. He is very active and intelligent and will need not just plenty of exercise, but also lots of enrichment and activities to keep his brain busy. He is not a couch potato Lurcher and can be demanding at times so his new owners need to be prepared to give him everything he needs, also also be patient and understanding as he is settling into his new routine. He has picked up the training that we have put in place to help him settle and have some more control around people very well, he's keen to learn and his great food motivation definitely helps with this. However, he still needs lots of guidance and will most likely try to push boundaries when he is adjusting to his new home, so is looking for confident owners who are willing to put the work in and be consistent. Marvin loves a soft toy and even better if it squeaks, a private garden where he can play with toys and run around off lead would be needed for Marvin. Marvin loves the camera and is very much a poser, even showing off his head tilt in his photos! When Marvin is settled and has had some training, he shows his gentle and affectionate character and loves laying on your lap for a fuss.
