About Me

Jimmy foster Mum says……

“Jimmy has settled into foster care wonderfully and has proven to be an easy and polite house guest. He’s quiet, doesn’t jump up, steal food, or cause any damage. Although he’s not fond of the crate, he's been left loose in the house with the other dogs for short periods without any issues. He’s just discovering toys but is gentle with them, and he shows no food or chew aggression. He’s also comfortable being handled all over, including having his teeth brushed.

At night, Jimmy sleeps either on the sofa or in a donut bed in the bedroom. He is almost fully house-trained, with only the occasional accident. On walks, he behaves well on the lead and has shown good recall in an enclosed paddock. While his prey drive hasn’t been fully tested, he pulled towards a squirrel but remained calm without overreacting.

Jimmy loves car rides, hopping in eagerly and travelling quietly. He enjoys his walks and isn’t bothered by traffic or thunder, greeting everyone he meets. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes, including his foster siblings. He respects the older dog and enjoys short play sessions with the younger one. In a recent class, Jimmy was calm around most dogs but felt a bit nervous around a very bouncy Labrador.

Though a little cautious at times, especially around anything resembling a stick, Jimmy’s numerous scars hint at the tough life he’s endured. Despite this, he is a gentle, affectionate dog who will make a loving and easy-going pet for a lucky family.”

Jimmy is about 6 years old and approximately 23 inches to the shoulder. He is in foster in Hampshire.
