This lovely lurcher is Poppet. She was taken from her owner as part of a dog cruelty case and has been in holding kennels for the past 10 months until the owner went before the court. He has now been sent to prison and banned from ever owning dogs again, so now Poppet can look for a new home. When Poppet first came into the kennels she was extremely underweight, but with good food and care over the past 10 months she has gained weight and is a now healthy 26kg. Poppet is a beautiful, friendly girl and is very good with other dogs. She ignores the cats that she sees on the land around the kennels so it is thought that she may be able to live with a cat. She is very good on the lead and her recall is also good. After such an awful start in life, can you give this lovely girl the chance to know what it is like to live in a home where she is loved and cared for?
