This mischievous chappy has been keeping all of his carers on their toes with his big cheeky personality. He has a very loveable larger than life personality and he is a huge social butterfly who loves meeting new people and making new canine buddies. We named this lovely lurcher Chess and as he came into our care after being found straying, we unfortunately don’t know much about his past. We believe him to be only 18 months old, so he is very much a youngster still, so he loves to explore and play. Chess has such an enthusiasm for life, and his new owners will need to be ready to help him direct this into becoming the best boy we know he can be. He’d benefit from going to training classes so he can learn some doggy etiquette whilst making some new friends and having lots of fun. Chess can sometimes become a bit over excited, especially when he is off lead with his canine pals not realising other dogs might not want to play as much as he does. It would be hugely beneficial if his owners were able to give him opportunities to safely burn off some energy by hiring enclosed paddocks and finding him some 4-legged friends who share his zest for life. We believe that he would be able to live with another dog who loves to play as much as he does, but it would also be a great help if they were able to help teach him to settle and enjoy the slower side of life too. Our team also think a home without cats or smaller animals would be the best fit for cheeky Chess. This fun-loving youngster would suit active owners who love stretching their legs on long walks in the countryside as he is very active and enjoys being on the go. We think he’d love being a part of everyday family life and would be happy living with children aged 11 and upwards. You can find me in Dorset Tel: 0330 400 6670 Email: lincolnfarm@mgar.org.uk
